The Mission of the Chamber: The Caledon Chamber of Commerce, as a voice of ethical enterprise, is committed to making Caledon a great place to work, live, play, visit and invest, by promoting growth and prosperity of individuals, organizations, and businesses.

Goals to Support the Mission

  1. Promote business development, enhance member’s business, and seek growth in members.
  2. Emphasize membership value, with communications to keep members informed, members only programs that will save on the operation cost of business, and networking events giving members opportunities to grow their business.
  3. Encourage members to participate in the development of policies through advocacy – “Voice in Good Business in Caledon”
  4. Provide Chamber staff and volunteers with a challenging and productive work environment that promotes a strong and organized team for Chamber members.
Membership Dues *
Membership in the Caledon Chamber of Commerce includes automatic membership into the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (O.C.C.) ($10.50/member annually), membership in the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (C.C.C) ($3.00/member annually), and a donation of $10.50 to the Caledon Chamber of Commerce Scholarship fund.

By writing your name below, I/We, having the authority to bind the membership, hereby make application for membership in the Caledon Chamber of Commerce. If this application is accepted by the Board of Directors, I/We agree to pay in advance the fee for the period of twelve months, and agree to be bound by the Constitution and By-laws of the Caledon Chamber of Commerce (available upon request). All corporate members are responsible for the charges incurred by their designated members.

Code of Conduct & Commitment

As a member of the Caledon Chamber of Commerce, I/we recognize that membership is a privilege. Further membership brings with it the responsibility to assure that all members also understand and commit to the following membership undertaking. Accordingly, I/we shall commit to:

  1. Conduct all business and professional activities in a reputable manner, to reflect honourably upon the business community.
  2. Respect the good reputation, profile and status of the Chamber with represent accordingly.
  3. Understand, support and promote the Missions and Goals of the Chamber.
  4. Whenever reasonably possible participate in the events and activities of the Chamber.
  5. Promote and enhance business growth and activities of the Caledon Chamber of Commerce.

 

I/We understand that failure to adhere to the professional and personal obligation outlined above and detailed in Chamber Bylaws and Board of Trade Act can result in the termination of my membership by the Chamber’s Board of Directors (Board).

I/We understand membership continues for twelve (12) consecutive months, as of the date of acceptance and continues until revoked in writing with 30 days notice. Membership fees are non-refundable as may be prescribed by the Board from time to time.

I/We also understand and agree with the Chamber’s Personal Information Policy below.

Personal Information Policy

By my signature, I/we acknowledge that the Caledon Chamber of Commerce may be provided with personal information, which it may share with certain service providers. However, such personal information will be used for internal purposes only, unless prior consent of its disclosure has been obtained. The Chamber does not view information pertaining to the name, title, business address, telephone number, e-mail, and/or website addresses of it’s business members to be personal information.

The Caledon Chamber of Commerce and its service providers will not disclose personal information to third parties other than the compliance with applicable federal and provincial privacy laws and, in particular, the requirement thereunder for the consent of the undersigned. The undersigned hereby consents to the use and disclosure of personal information for statistical or scholarly study or research purposes, which information will be used or disclosed in such a manner that will ensure it confidentiality.
